I've always been a big fan of speaking my mind and Private Party lets me wear it. Whether it's a BRUNCH bikini or Drake lyrics, I love the snarky collection like no other. Shop some of my favorites below! You can get my tank above at ASOS here.
Nothing is more frustrating than breaking or losing expensive sunglasses. I've learned throughout the years that there's truly a time and a place for expensive specs. While polarization and sun protection are important factors when picking out sunglasses, sometimes it's fun to just grab a pair of hot pink cat-eyes for brunch or a show. Here are a few great options for this summer. Bonus: a ton of them are under $55!
Don't forget to check out my SHOP page on the top for other great summer buys!

Last night, Kate Spade Georgetown was gracious enough to host a floral arranging event with Urban Stems and we had the best time. There's really nothing better than shopping for new earrings (we picked up a new pair of our favorite studs) while sipping champagne and admiring the new Spring Collection. Make sure to check out our favorites at the bottom of this post!
Better yet, Urban Stems, our favorite DC and NYC floral delivery service, was there to show us how to make the perfect spring arrangements. Here's how mine turned out.
Urban Stems brought tons of great flowers for the arrangements. This one included some anemones, yellow and pink ranunculus, some stock, and garden roses. Everyone's bouquets looked fabulous and unique. Here's a snap of my hands (middle left) working on my bouquet, courtesy of DC photographer, Taylor Kampa Olson.
If you haven't yet, make sure you check out Urban Stems for your next "thank you" or "just because" flower bouquet. They are incredibly reliable and I've loved the bouquets I've been sent in the past (see here and here). One of my favorite things about Urban Stems is they send you a confirmation photo and email of the arrangement in front of the delivery address. Such a cool touch and a great way to ensure that the recipient got their flowers safely!
Make sure to use the code: HAPPY6403 for $15 off your next bouquet!
I'm in love with The Jade arrangement pictured above.
A big thanks to the gals at Kate Spade Georgetown as well. The store looked adorable as always. Now check out my favorites from the store!
We cannot get over how inexpensive these items from Hobby Lobby are. Yes, Hobby Lobby. The sales right now are unbelievable. I snagged the white fur rug, two of the resin triangles, the dalmatian pillow, and the gold peace sign sculpture. These will be great additions to my bookshelf in my office and my peacock chair in my bedroom. Make sure to check out the sale while it lasts!
Today we read that the cherry blossoms here in Washington DC are very close to their peak and we can't think of a better idea than to plan for a picnic at the Tidal Basin. So grab your girlfriends, some snacks & rosé and enjoy spring!
Fun fact: Hanami means "cherry blossom viewing" or enjoying the blossoms, in Japanese.
We're loving all of the great home decor items that Tuckernuck has right now! The cups, plates, and embroidered buzzed! napkin were a fun find as well.
Tuckernuck's Spring Lifestyle Guide Launched this week and is full of fab spring and summer pieces. This Full Print Floral Skirt is on my wishlist. Check out the dress too!
Now, sit back and enjoy the beauty of the Tidal Basin! One note: while picnics take a little more effort to plan, it becomes easy when everyone brings 2-3 items, and even better, it's typically cheaper than brunch! Tip: To avoid the crowds, here are some other great spots in DC to enjoy the blossoms.
PS - If you're as obsessed as I am about Tuckernuck, be sure to follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Lastly, can we talk about how amazing this Instagram is? Make sure to check out more of @someguy's amazing DC photography!
So I won't lie, I really try my best to count my own blessings and not the blessings of others. But sometimes, (no thanks to the Instagram explore page) I can't help but covet certain aspects of other's lives.
This couldn't be more of the case with my new #lifecrush - Innika Choo.
Here's the low down on Innika, she lives in Bali with her two gorgeous daughters Eadie and Matty, and her painfully cool husband, Pern. They moved to Bali a few years ago when Pern, an architect, started working on a plan for an eco-development on the island.
"The pace and lifestyle makes for quite intriguing beginnings for our girls. Cows, frogs, geckos, chickens and bogans - what more could you want?"
Innaka explained in an interview with The Grace Tales.
Innaka's life is full of lush green foliage, brightly colored, distressed walls, effortless flowing dresses and blonde locks.
Life for Innka is fun and unhampered, but also real. Joking about her "saggy knees" and daughters' meltdowns are only a few examples of how she truly loves motherhood and silliness.
If you haven't already, follow Innika on Instagram
Now please excuse me while I blow this month's paycheck on Innika-inspired-Bali-wear.

I get asked quite a bit where I like to shop for home décor items. I'm constantly on the lookout for new tabletop accessories or bookshelf nick-knacks. Here's a list of some of my favorite places to do just that.
