Jessica McClendon of Glamour Nest, a Los Angeles based interior design studio known for Jessica’s distinctive “casual glamour” aesthetic.
Growing up in the Dallas-Forth Worth area meant Jessica was surrounded by historical homes, igniting a passion for interior design early in her life. Before she became an interior designer, studied theatrical performance and design at Texas Christian University. Upon graduation she landed a job in visual merchandising for Fort Worth boot shop, Leddy’s Ranch. Her talent was soon noticed by J.Crew, and she was tapped as a Visual Manager, which led her to Los Angeles, where she still resides today. While working at J.Crew, she began freelancing for interior design firms which is where Glamour Nest’s story really begins.
Fast forward, five years, and Jessica found herself with her own client base, separate from the firms she was freelancing for. This is when the idea of starting her own interior design studio was born. Though the US was in the middle of a recession, Jessica took the risk of opening the doors of Glamour Nest. And since 2009, she’s never looked back. Her style and intuitive approach to design has caught the attention of outlets like HGTV Magazine, MyDomaine, and Rue, and Jessica’s business has blossomed into the thriving studio we see today.
